Characterful property next to Ciutadella's Cathedral
This house, just a few steps from the Cathedral Square in one of the most historic pedestrian streets of the old town, has a full renovation project, and already had the license issued by the local council. Renovation not included in the price.
This magnificent stately home of approximately 480m² spreads across four floors of around 70m² each, plus a vaulted basement, the property retains original architectural and material elements that give it a truly authentic character.
Has already been designed to reimagine the space into a unique residence. It proposes a traditional entrance hall, several living areas, a dining room with access to a 14m² patio, and a covered pool beneath a sandstone porch. The project also includes spacious bedrooms with alcoves, covered terraces, and open-air terraces offering spectacular views of the Cathedral, and in some areas, even partial views of the neighbouring island.
An exceptional project in a privileged location, right in the heart of Ciutadella.
Ciutadella, the former capital, is Menorca's most monumental city: an old town of palaces and arcaded streets around the Gothic cathedral, a narrow, photogenic harbour and an atmosphere that does not fade in winter. The west adds what many are after: the white-sand beaches of the south — Son Xoriguer, Cala en Bosch — and family-friendly residential areas such as Cala en Blanes or Los Delfines a few minutes from the centre. The offer ranges from stately houses in the old town to flats and villas by the sea. If the west of the island is calling you, this is your page.
What is it like to live in Ciutadella all year round?
It is a city alive twelve months a year: local shops, the market, social life in the old town and full services. It is about 45 minutes by car from Maó and the airport, worth considering if you travel very frequently.
Which beaches are close to Ciutadella?
The developed ones of the west — Cala en Bosch, Son Xoriguer, Cala en Blanes — are under fifteen minutes away, and the unspoilt southern ones, such as Son Saura or Cala en Turqueta, barely half an hour. Few cities let you combine an old town and coves like this.
Is buying in Ciutadella's old town worth it?
If you are after character, it is unique: historic buildings, an unbeatable location and very limited supply that sustains value. It is worth checking the building's condition and renovation possibilities carefully; we support you with local technicians during the assessment.
